Re: SMOOTH CURVES in GRAPHS

Hello Werner, Thank you. Werner Exinger wrote:  How did you use supsmooth or medsmooth? Sampling vectors from your functions, I guess.I don't see any attempts done in your sheet (nor see I any graphs...

Re: SMOOTH CURVES in GRAPHS

It has been discussed here quite some times that Mathcad is not able to produce publication quality plots. The edges I see in your plots are due to screen resolution only, I guess. I don't think that...

Re: SMOOTH CURVES in GRAPHS

Hello Werner, Thank you so much. I have followed your suggestions. I printed Fig. 5 and a smooth curve resulted from a WORD format file. This is sufficient for my work - for the time being. Thanks...

Re: particular symbolic eval used to work, but acts differently in ver 15? stuck

Here is a Sensitivity function which you can use the same way as you could yours in Mathcad 12 without having to rewrite the functions.

Re: auto correlation of an irregularly occurring pulse buried in noise

Philip, for what it is worth there is a very nice add-on for this type of analysis called "Kornucopia". It is very good in filtering noise and works seemingly with MC 15. You can download a trial...

Re: particular symbolic eval used to work, but acts differently in ver 15? stuck

Sorry for late reply- I've been pretty  busy this mroning.  Well this works as good as anything I've seen and seems like a good workaround.  So then essentially the trick is to get MCad to evaluate y...

Re: particular symbolic eval used to work, but acts differently in ver 15? stuck

The straightforward approach would be to pass the expression and the variable in question, let both be parameters of a function which hands them over to the derivative operator. But Mathcad would not...

Re: How do you increase the XY plot axis value size (font size)

I am sorry Mona, but that is a massive oversight by PTC.  I am trying to use mathcad to create date which I can show colleagues and superiors, and the fact that the data is barely readable is frankly...

Mona seems to have left PTC. The posting you a referring to was her last one in this forum.Postings in this forum unfortunately are only very sporadically scanned and commented  by PTC staff, if ever.

Re: extracting coefficients of e^ix from polynomial

Hi Werner, I did try to substitute for a variable X and search coefficients but MathCAD doesn't replace it. So, I think it is unable to recognise e^i*theta as a function, no idea. (my knowledg about...

The question concerning the the coefficients seems to be answered thanks to Alan.  I was about to post a more compact way to create your various symbolic vetcors and to explain what i meant with the...

As I found the easy way to avoid that Mathcad bug find attached a more streamlined way to deal with your symbolic vectors. Hope you find it useful.

Re: extracting coefficients of e^ix from polynomial

OK, the last one. This shows how to get around the limitation of the last one of not being able to evaluate numerically.

I've had a go at simplifying the worksheet also (I need to get a life!) - see attached. Alan
